Let’s Start at the Beginning
When David was 9 years old he was reading the Wall Street Journal (newspaper) with his grandfather when he asked his grandfather. “Are you investing international with your money Grandpa?” His grandfather looked at him puzzled and said, “No, I do not invest internationally.” David left his grandfather and walked down the hallway of his grandfathers house. He stopped in the middle of the hallway all by himself and said out loud, “What does the word international mean?” He did not know what the word meant.
Years later he would travel around the world as a United States and World Champion BMX Freestyle Rider and then became a top mens fashion model on his way to moving to Milan, Italy. As he was on his way to move to Milan and represent a top international mens modeling agency he met Jesus Christ. David gave his life to Jesus. Jesus Christ has changed his life.
The word international continued when David started following Jesus. He has prayed and still continues to pray for many nations around the world. You could say David’s has a middle name, “international”.
The Call to France
In 1985, David stepped off the plane at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris, France. It was his first trip abroad as BMX United States and World Champion. He was heading to central France to appear on a live television show where he would ride his bike and perform tricks in front of the entire French nation. As he stepped off the plane, David walked down the long gangway into the Charles De Gaulle terminal. At the end of the bridge, the glass doors opened and he entered the airport terminal, and then something supernatural happened.
At that moment, David remembers feeling as if a heavy coin had been placed in his heart. He was speechless and wondered what had happened to him. It was then that he fell in love with France and its people. It wasn't until 1990, when David gave his life to Jesus Christ, that everything began to make sense. He knew then that God had entrusted him with the mission to pray and believe in God so that a movement of God would touch the French people and nation.
After many years of prayer, David and Carol Joy moved to France in 2024, knowing that it was time to move forward with what God had placed on their hearts to do in France.
France needs Jesus!
1% of the population of France does not know Jesus, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
France is a country of over 77 million people. Recent studies in France show that Christianity has been in steady decline since the 1980s. In 2021, a French poll showed that over 50% of French citizens do not believe there is a God or that He exists. Those who identify as Catholic have dropped from 81% in 1986 to 47% in 2020. Those who say they have been born again are only 1%. This is a huge challenge.
What can we see in France?
We see Life City France locations all over France, filled with people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, languages, and nations.
These locations will be churches, that will have a bible school and a pastors school in every location. These churches will network together to teach the Word of God and move with the Holy Spirit.
We see these all these locations sending missionaries from France to all the nations of the world.
These churches will look different from the churches most people see today. They will be modern, mobile, and always moving with God in what He wants to do on earth in this generation and in generations to come.
We see God at work in these churches, touching the French nation and the whole world for His glory.

And man, we've been trying to do it. The Lord's saying with the equipment that we've all had, we've been trying to do stuff. And the money will come into their lives, it'll come into your lives. You won't even think about money. You'll go, dear God, we can buy whatever we need for harvest. It's not long, because we're about to leave the planet, so the Lord's got to kind of speed it up. But He wanted me to tell you, that's what it's going to be. The devil's a liar, pants on fire. Amen.
