Many of you have been asking an important question…

1️⃣ A Season of Waiting — Trusting the Process

Many friends and partners have asked us:
“When are you coming back to the United States this year?”

The honest answer right now is: we are waiting.

Carol Joy is currently waiting for the approval of her Long Stay Visa Renewal with the French Government. Her third submission was mailed in December, and we were told by a former employee of the immigration department that the process can take up to six months to receive an answer.

Because of this, we are not able to make travel plans to the United States until we hear back from the French government.

We are believing that we will receive an answer any day now, and we are trusting God’s timing in this process.

2️⃣ Life and Ministry Moving Forward in Dijon

Even while we wait, we are moving forward with everything God has called us to do here in France.

Every day in Dijon has been full of purpose.

We are:
• Walking the streets of Dijon praying and seeking God’s direction
• Meeting new people and building relationships in the community
• Looking at possible locations to launch Life City France

At the same time, several exciting projects are continuing to grow:

🙏 Live Prayer Broadcasts
Carol Joy continues to host her weekly Live Prayer Broadcast every Tuesday, where believers from around the world gather together to pray for God’s plans and purposes.

🎥 New Teaching Broadcasts
David and Carol Joy have begun recording teaching broadcasts together on YouTube and Facebook.

📖 Bible Institute France
The Bible Institute is moving forward as the class videos are being translated into French—a massive project that we continue to push ahead step by step.

📬 Monthly Ministry Updates
We are staying connected with partners and friends through our newsletters and ministry updates.

🇫🇷 Learning French
Every day we continue studying and practicing the French language as we grow deeper into the culture here.

🎨 And exciting news…
Carol Joy has begun painting again for God!
After months focused on language studies and ministry work, she has reopened her art studio here in Dijon—and it has been a beautiful time of creativity and prayer.

3️⃣ The Vision for France Is Alive

We truly believe that God has called us to France for such a time as this.

We are praying, preparing, and moving forward toward the vision God has placed in our hearts to establish Life City France—a place where people can encounter the love of Jesus, grow in faith, and be equipped through teaching, creativity, and community.

Every step we take here in Dijon reminds us that this mission is bigger than us, and we are incredibly grateful for every person who is standing with us in prayer and partnership.

You are part of what God is building here. And we cannot wait to share more in the coming months.

Bonjour,

🇫🇷 Bienvenue dans la mise à jour mensuelle de Life France !

Depuis notre installation dans notre nouvelle maison à Dijon le 3 février, beaucoup de choses se sont mises en place et nous sommes heureux de partager avec vous cette nouvelle saison.

Nous croyons que Dieu est en train d’ouvrir des portes et de nous guider pas à pas dans la mission qu’Il nous a confiée en France.

1️⃣ Une saison d’attente — Confiance dans le processus

Beaucoup d’entre vous nous demandent :

« Quand allez-vous revenir aux États-Unis cette année ? »

La réponse pour l’instant est simple : nous attendons.

Carol Joy attend l’approbation de son renouvellement de visa long séjour auprès du gouvernement français. Son troisième dossier a été envoyé en décembre.

Une ancienne employée du service d’immigration nous a expliqué que la réponse peut prendre jusqu’à six mois.

Nous espérons donc recevoir une réponse très bientôt, et nous faisons confiance au timing de Dieu dans ce processus.

2️⃣ La vie et la mission avancent à Dijon

Pendant cette période d’attente, nous continuons à avancer dans la mission que Dieu nous a confiée.

Chaque jour à Dijon est rempli de nouvelles opportunités.

Nous :

• Marchons dans les rues de Dijon pour prier et chercher la direction de Dieu
• Rencontrons de nouvelles personnes et développons des relations
• Observons différents lieux possibles pour démarrer Life City France

En parallèle, plusieurs projets continuent d’avancer :

🎥 Nouveaux enseignements bibliques sur YouTube et Facebook

📖 Bible Institute France
Les vidéos des cours sont actuellement en cours de traduction en français, un travail important mais passionnant.

🇫🇷 Et bien sûr… nous continuons à apprendre le français !

🎨 Et une belle nouvelle :
Carol Joy a recommencé à peindre pour Dieu dans son nouvel atelier à Dijon.

3️⃣ La vision pour la France est vivante

Nous croyons profondément que Dieu nous a appelés en France pour cette saison.

Nous prions, nous préparons et nous avançons vers la vision de Life City France — un lieu où les personnes pourront rencontrer Jésus, grandir dans la foi et être équipées pour leur destinée. Ce que Dieu construit ici est plus grand que nous, et vous en faites partie.

Nous sommes tellement reconnaissants pour votre amour, vos prières et votre soutien.
